Gamma Phi Beta page 3 P i Chapter continues to make strides this spring and has much to look forward to as the semester progresses. Chapter Advisor Kelsey Hohlen '06 and I attended a weekend trip to St. Louis, where we had the opportunity to collaborate with nearly all of Gamma Phi Beta's chapter advisors and chapter presidents at the REAL Leadership Academy. The conference allowed us a chance to exchange ideas and advice with some of Gamma Phi Beta's most thoughtful and knowledgeable leaders. It was such a rewarding experience! The spring semester is always busy with events celebrating Gamma Phi Beta and our members. We host events such as Mom's Day, the scholarship banquet, formal, recruitment retreats, various sisterhood events, and of course, French Toast Feed. Last year, the chapter saw tremendous success with our annual Crescent Classic French Toast Feed. We raised nearly $3,400 to support our international philanthropy, Girls on the Run, and an additional $1,874 for the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation. It is our goal to continue to support Gamma Phi Beta's philanthropic mission of building strong girls by achieving the same level of success at the 2016 French Toast Feed on March 31. I am proud to announce that Pi Chapter received the top GPA for fall 2015 with an average of 3.573! Several seniors were accepted into graduate programs, many accepted internships for the summer, and others accepted full-time positions in their respective career fields. Scholastic excellence and a driven mindset are some of the greatest components of Pi Chapter's ongoing legacy, and we all seek to continue to uphold this excellence in the future. The 2016 chapter officers participated in an officer retreat and developed the following vision for our chapter: We are a chapter that values individuality, achievement, and passion. We are committed to scholarship and encouraging personal growth. We strive to be intentional with our words and actions while leaving a legacy that makes us proud. With that said, we—as collegiate members of the sorority— recognize that our desire to strive to leave a legacy that makes us proud stems from the legacy you all have created at Pi Chapter in the past. As collegians, we truly value the opportunities we have to connect with our wonderful alumnae. We are thankful for the women who actively support our chapter as advisors and mentors. Please feel free to contact me. I am excited to foster substantial relationships with our alumnae.
