L ove, Labor, Learning, and Loyalty. I don't need to remind you all, my sisters, of what those words mean and what they stand for in our beloved sorority. One of the major focuses for our Affiliated House Corporation during the past several months has been the retirement of our mortgage. Due to the generosity of our alumnae and a high standard of excellence in our collegiate membership, we have a debt balance of only $120,000. As I see that balance dwindle each month, I am aware of the hard work my sisters have done to contribute to that campaign, and we are truly seeing the fruits of that Labor! We continue to be grateful for the support many of you have given us in this pursuit. With your help, the AHC hopes to entirely eliminate our debt by July! We are excited about the prospect of meeting this lofty objective. It is our hope to host a special celebration ceremony once we meet it. You won't want to miss the chance to help us burn the mortgage once it's gone. Please consider how you can help fuel the fire and fulfill this goal! We have already started dreaming and planning for the next fabulous projects we will launch once that liability is completely paid off. Our immediate plans involve an entire renovation of one of the most important spaces of the chapter house; a place where sisters gather for meetings, studying, and bonding. It is where we welcome potential new members during recruitment and alumnae visit during Big Red Saturdays. It is the heart of our home, and we are thrilled about designing and updating our living room to match the beautiful sisterhood that lives in it!
