RIBBON CUTTING New dental building holds grand opening The Corning Chamber of Commerce welcomes the new owners of Home- town Café, Mark and Tami Olsen as Chamber Members. Corning Patriots The Corning Patriots will have a meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday at the Corning Veteran's Memo- rial Building to discuss the new travel trailer ordi- nance in Tehama County. Sean Moore from the Te- hama County Planners Of- fice will be there to speak with the public about the changes to the ordinance. Many residents have been upset as it will require a one-time permit of $1400 to allow someone to stay in the travel trailer/RV more than one night. This applies to unincorporated areas of the county only. The public is encouraged to attend and bring their questions and concerns. Maundy Thursday The First Presbyterian Church at 471 Margue- rite Ave, invites everyone to the Maundy Thursday Service at 6 p.m., soup and bread will be served. They will also be holding an Easter Egg Hunt at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Hot dogs and hamburg- ers will be served. The church will hold Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. on Eas- ter Sunday. Good Friday Service The Independent Lu- theran Church of Corn- ing will be holding Good Friday Services starting 12 p.m. on Friday. Salute to Law Enforcement A Red, White and Blue — Salute to Tehama County Law Enforcement is the theme of this year's Annual Tehama County Republican Party's Dinner on Saturday, April 2 at the Red Bluff Elks Lodge, 355 Gilmore Rd., Red Bluff. No host cocktails begin at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m. This year's guest speakers are Red Bluff Police Chief Kyle Sanders and Corning Po- lice Chief Jeremiah Fears. Also featured will be K9 Unit demonstrations. In- vited guests include Con- gressman Doug LaMalfa, State Senator Jim Nielsen, and State Assemblyman James Gallagher as well as county and city civic and local government leaders. Patriotic music and a program honoring law enforcement will be featured. Tehama County GOP will also honor their Republican of the Year. A silent auction for a wide assortment of valuable prizes will also be held to support the commit- tees annual High School Scholarship and the work of the committee. Dinner includes a choice of New York Steak and prawns or pork tenderloin, both served with roasted red potatoes, green beans, fresh chopped green salad and rolls. Seating is lim- ited and no tickets will be sold at the door. Individ- ual tickets are $45; to host a table of four is $180 and a table of 8 is $360. This will be a fun night of entertainment and laughter through competing in a fun and fast paced game. Pro- ceeds go to helping the community through the Senior Center, located at 1015 4th Avenue in Corn- ing. There will also be an option for a delicious din- ner of BBQ pulled pork sandwiches. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. with Bunco starting at 6 p.m. Cost is $10 for Bunco, and an additional $5 for din- ner.
