The boys tallied 448 points — well ahead of Lassen who finished second with 182. Paradise (116), Las Plumas (98) and Oroville (46) rounded out the field. Daniel Gonzalez won the 100 meters (11.43 seconds) and 200 meters (23.13). Dominic Lightfoot grabbed a pair of individual titles as well, winning the discus (147'10") and shot put (47'5.75"). Jeff Skaggs finished sec- ond in the shot put and qual- ified for divisions. The top two finishers in each event qualified as well as the top three from the EAL-North finals and three wild card positions. Gonzalez was also part of a pair of winning relay teams for the Spartans. Ty Smith, Michael Stone, Zach Iverson and Gonzalez turned in a time of 45.02 seconds to win the 4x100. Gonzalez, Greg Dufour, Stone and Iverson complet- ed the 4x400 in 3:31.22. Iverson won the 400 meters (50.89) and placed second in the 800 meters. Smith took the long jump title with a mark of 20'3.75". He also placed second in the 300-meter hurdles. Eric Espinosa won the 3200 meters with a time of 10:28.41. He placed second in the 1600 meters.
