With a focus on locally grown and produced foods and beverages from the North Valley, tree nuts such as almonds, wal- nuts, pecans and pista- chios take center stage throughout the crowd- pleasing event. Each year, this culinary festival showcases plenti- ful gourmet food offer- ings, always-popular wine and beer sampling, nut-in- spired cooking demonstra- tions, live musical enter- tainment on two outdoor stages and an art show featuring talented local artists. "This is a very special year for the California Nut Festival as we're celebrat- ing 10 years in the mak- ing of this fabulous food- focused event," said Kathy Chance, lead organizer of the 2016 California Nut Festival. "And, we are also very excited to introduce a new sponsor — California Olive Ranch — that joins our many long-time sponsors along with a dedicated and growing community of farmers, ag business and corporate partners that help to make this cu- linary event such an over- whelming success. Our amazing community can take great pride in know- ing their participation and attendance helps to support the historic Pat- rick Ranch Museum that is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the rich agricultural history of the area." In fact, more than $80,000 has been raised thus far and donated to the historic Patrick Ranch Museum, a newly restored mansion and working farm managed by the Far West Heritage Association, as a result of this event.
