Lambda lamp Alpha-Delta Zeta at Missouri University of Science and Technology | Spring 2016 Architectural Design Underway, Contractors Being Selected Construction to Start This Summer E xcitement is building for the summer 2016 construction on additions and renovations to the Alpha-Delta Zeta Chapter House. Dick Busch Architects and Dan Conway Contracting Inc., have been engaged to prepare contract documents and hire subcontractors for a 16-month construction period for the project. The first item is a two-story, 3,000-square-foot addition on the back of the Chapter House for 20 men with a connection into the second floor of the existing house. This will expand our capacity to 77 as the university approaches 10,000 students. A new three-story, 900-square-foot addition on the front will provide an expanded foyer and much-needed space in 10 sleep and study rooms. A new all-purpose, 1,450-square- foot project area will be constructed adjoining the west side of the house with a deck on top for outdoor gatherings. The entire house will be remodeled with all new HVAC, electric service panels and wiring, plumbing, sprinklers, and alarms. The entire project will be completed in early August 2017. PAY IT FORWARD We again wish to thank all of our loyal brothers and friends for their support and dedication to the future of Alpha-Delta Zeta of Lambda Chi Alpha. Your gifts truly make the difference for the future success of our Chapter for the next 100 years. We urge those who have yet to make a gift to consider doing so now to indicate your loyalty and payback for the good times we all enjoyed as undergraduates and to remember those brothers who are no longer with us. Those donors who have not yet completed their pledged donation for the new house are urged to do so as soon as possible. With construction starting in May, every dollar donated is one less dollar we need to borrow and pay interest on. With this focus in mind, the $450,000 challenge will continue until it's completed in full! Donations to the challenge have reached $287,086 (63.7%); every new gift or new dollar donated is matched dollar-for-dollar by other loyal brothers, making your gift go twice as far toward our goal.
