4 BETA MU LINK Beta Mu's indoor soccer team was undefeated in the fall. Beta Mu has high hopes for this year's Grand Prix. BETA MU FINDS ITS FOOTING Undergraduates Reestablish Beta among Purdue Greek Life T he Beta Mu colony of Beta Theta Pi is currently in the process of setting the groundwork for how the house will hopefully run for next 100 years of its existence. Our fall semester was spent trying to establish what we want to be about, and included some growing pains. Something that we excel in, but are also trying to grow in, is balance. We have realized maintaining a balance of scholastics, leadership opportunities, social life, intramurals, and Greek relations is not an easy process, but it is essential to our growth and morale. Beta Seeks the Highest Quality Men Through two successful rounds of recruitment, we are gaining more knowledge of what to look for in men who seek to be a part of the Beta brotherhood. Many are attracted to the new identity we are creating through developing a different kind of fraternity man. Executive Team Leads Beta's Return Our 2016 executive team is in full force working to become more unified and efficient. We are continually increasing accountability through our kai committee and executive team's dedication to our success. Amid the busyness of setting the groundwork, we are learning what it means to be brothers and enjoy being together to establish that brotherhood we all came to Beta for. We also seek more of a presence in the Greek community and to get our name out there in all realms. We want every brother to be in the know and excited to move the Fraternity forward. Looking Ahead Ultimately, we want to be the best (in GPA, socially, philanthropically, and in intramurals) and know why we are doing so: to develop men of principle for a principled life. And, of course, we are so blessed to be doing it all in the most beautiful house on campus. Thank you, generous alumni, for making this happen! Yours in _kai_, Griffin Hoover '18 hoover26@purdue.edu (317) 518-5905 Beta brunch with the women of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Betas at a trampoline dodgeball brotherhood event.
