Some of the key features of PipelineNC.com include career exploration, skills and interest assess- ments, content-sharing and the ability to link job seek- ers with employment opportunities. And PipelineNC also integrates with other job posting sites — extend- ing the reach and ability to connect workers with jobs. PipelineNC assists students and job seekers by helping identify skill deficiencies for selected career opportuni- ties and then guiding users to nearby educational insti- tutions where they can receive training and education to improve job skills. Students, job seekers and em- ployers can use this information to identify emerging industries, create career tracks, employer mentoring and internship opportunities, and educators can use the information to develop specific programs of study that will link PipelineNC users to job training and educational programs. Using PipelineNC, job seekers are able to find rewarding employment, and em- ployers spend less time and resources identifying qualified candidates. PipelineNC highlights in-demand jobs (such as "Go Green," STEM programs, and/or critical educational programs) to students and job seekers. Educational institutions can bet- ter connect to emerging or changing industry demands, resulting in a highly trained talent pool for regional industries.
