\ PI BETA PHI 3 Pi Beta Phi Looks Forward to Eventful Spring Semester N ow that Colorado Alpha is back in school, we are delighted to get into the full swing of things this semester, which will include many exciting sisterhood and philanthropic events. The Executive Council and I have been working diligently toward the improvement of our chapter in every way possible. Colorado Alpha Sister Wins Panhellenic Award Our past Chapter President, Hannah McMullen '13, recently won the Panhellenic award for Outstanding Scholar for her dedication to scholarship. Our Vice President of Member Development, Whitney Stanton '14, is working very hard to improve the academic success of our chapter as well. Chapter Philanthropically Focused This spring, we will participate in many philanthropic events around campus and in the Greek and Boulder communities. Events include the Theta Katwalk, Pi Kappa Phi Soccer Tournament and the Tutu Storytime Event at the Boulder Public Library. Last semester, we raised $4,757 at Phright Fest, the haunted house we hosted for Halloween. Our philanthropy this semester will be Pi Phi Pazookie, and it will be hosted at the chapter house on April 22 from 4-6 p.m. We encourage any alumnae in the area to come join in on the fun! Sisters Planning Alumnae Events and Establishing Intramural Teams Many chapter sisterhood activities and alumnae events are in the works this semester. Our Alumnae Appreciation dinner last semester was so much fun, and we are excited to host a similar event this spring. We are pleased to participate in Greek Week this year and can't wait to find out who our partners will be. We participate in many intramural events; we have established a soccer team and are working on putting together a volleyball team. Colorado Alpha Involved in Greek Life, On and Off Campus Last semester, we had two of our Executive Council members, Alex Segell '14 and Delaney Burger '14, serve as BUFFthon chairmen, and now we have freshman Catherine Onate '15 continuing this tradition. A few of our Executive Council members traveled to St. Louis to represent the Colorado Alpha Chapter at college weekend, and we are so proud of them. Alumnae Always Welcome at Pi Phi Colorado Alpha is looking forward to an amazing semester, and we feel so lucky to have such an amazing group of people living in the house! We are thankful we have an abundance of support from our community and our amazing alumnae who help us continue to be a strong chapter. We encourage any alumnae in the area to stop by the house, see the interior updates and say hello — our door is always open.
