We started off the semester strong with our executive board retreat, where we planned out major dates for the semester and established chapter goals. We set out to increase our total money raised for Dance Marathon this year to $95,000 for Children's Miracle Network. Our second goal is to encourage every member to seek involvement outside of the chapter. The purpose of this is to ensure that we are fostering the development of strong leaders not only within our chapter, but also on and off campus. Lastly, we want to build stronger relations with other Panhellenic chapters by attending and hosting monthly events. We've hosted two events already: a yoga night with Alpha Omicron Pi and Gamma Phi Beta; and a Valentine's Day card-making event with Zeta Tau Alpha. We are thrilled to announce that we welcomed seven beautiful new members this semester. We could not be more excited to welcome them into our bond. Additionally, we reached our goal from last year by raising our chapter cumulative GPA to 3.48 in the spring 2015 semester. Last year, we reorganized our intellectual development plan in an effort to push all chapter members to strive for academic success. We are proud of this increase. We celebrated MacDowell Month by hosting a painting party, where we painted canvases for our spring new members to welcome them to Gamma Iota. We also participated in Project Makeover by painting murals all over the white walls of a local elementary school to brighten up the campus for the students. On behalf of the executive board and the women of Gamma Iota, thank you for all the support and continued dedication to the success of our chapter. From your encouragement, we will continue to grow into Real. Strong. Women. and pass this on to the future of our community.
