You may have seen in recent weeks that the network was pairing up repeats from earlier in the season in two-hour chunks — partially as a way to catch viewers up on the exploits of FBI trainee turned fugi- tive Alex Parrish, played by Priyanka Chopra — but new episodes are set to resume March 6. The actress is getting a nice stint to help her reaccus- tom viewers to watching her on Sundays, since ABC and the Motion Picture Academy are making her a presenter on the Oscar telecast Feb 28. While she may be a relatively new face here, Chopra isn't a stranger to the movie in- dustry, since she was one of Bollywood's top film actress- es before starting her current television gig. Q : I watched and enjoyed Episodes 1 and 2 of "War & Peace" on A&E Canada, but Episodes 3 and 4 aren't scheduled for viewing. A&E on both sides of the border was simul- casting the drama with Lifetime and History in the U.S., but after the first two episodes, the outlets for the adaptation of the Leo Tolstoy classic suddenly and surprisingly were reduced to Lifetime alone. That left A&E viewers of the drama in the lurch, and we're not aware of any plans for that network to show the last two installments on its own. If it's any comfort, we'd expect the miniseries to get a home-video release before long, especially with such names as Lily James ("Cin- derella") and Gillian Anderson ("The X-Files") involved. Q : I'm missing Sam Champion on "AMHQ" and am wondering where he went, and why. — Linda Kenney, Owosso, Mich. A : He's still with The Weather Channel, though some may have wondered about that recently when he returned to ABC's "Good Morning America" for a week, to fill in for Ginger Zee during her maternity leave. The weather outlet did a big recon- figuration of its on-air lineup a couple of months ago, and that took Champion off the air there — but reportedly, he'll be returning with a primetime show said to be premiering soon, if it hasn't already be- tween the time this was writ- ten and the time you see it.
