Talk about people watching.
Spectators are welcome at Paraclete XP
SkyVenture just outside of Raeford. The indoor
wind tunnel is not a ride or flight simulator,
visitors actually get the flying experience. But
it'll cost you, starting around $60 for first-
timers. But to sit and watch? Totally free.
Visit www.paracletexp.com for details.
Skydive
Freezin'

reason
Hardy souls plunge into the icy
waters
of the Atlantic Ocean to raise money
for the Special Olympics. This year's Polar Bear
Plunge is set for Feb. 20 in Nags Head. While
there are other plunges, organizers call this
the only "statewide" event in North Carolina.
