eries call Cumberland County home, including
well-known Huske Hardware Brewing and
The Mash House Restaurant and Brewery.

craft beer landscape, Dirtbag Ales, opened

The partners, veterans who met while work-
ing at an Army hospital, formed Dirtbag Ales
after several years of stove-top and garage
brewing. They started as a contract brewer
with Aberdeen Brewery, and moved to their
Hope Mills location in 2014.
In Hope Mills, self-taught Brewmaster Tito
Simmons-Valenzuela crafts many specialty
brews. His blood-orange kolsch is the signa-
ture item in Dirtbag's lineup.
Brewery tours are available every Sunday.
