" " "I am most proud of the reputation and accomplishments of this chapter. The women in Kappa are hardworking, dedicated, and loyal. We recently received Panhellenic Chapter of the Year, and we could not have received this award without our wonderful members! They are the reason I hear such wonderful words about Kappa from people not only in the Greek community but also on Tech's campus." Maura Tonroy '12, 2015 Chapter President The Key to Our Future Y our investment in Delta Psi will directly impact the lives of our current and future members. Today, perhaps more than ever, it is important that we provide young college women with an environment that offers a solid foundation for their education and affords them opportunities for high academic achievement and the development of leadership and social skills. The commitment we make today cannot be underestimated— it will have a far-reaching effect on the lives of our Delta Psi sisters for years to come. MAXIMIZING YOUR IMPACT Due to the magnitude of our objectives, we are urging all alumnae to consider major gifts to the campaign. In order for each alumna to maximize her participation, gifts can be structured over a five- year pledge period. However, early gifts or pledge payments to the campaign are preferable to help reduce borrowing costs. Gifts in honor or in memory of other Kappa Kappa Gamma sisters, as well as family gifts, are welcome. Recognition in such cases will be given to both the donor(s) and the honoree. NON-TAX-DEDUCTIBLE GIFTS NEEDED A majority of the areas included in the rebuild are deemed non- educational per the IRS. This means there is a need for non-tax- deductible gifts to complete the project as envisioned and with minimal debt to the chapter. Therefore, donors are encouraged to consider their gift to the Delta Psi House Corporation Board. DONOR RECOGNITION Each of us, simply by our presence, has contributed to the history of Delta Psi. How appropriate then that each of our names be entered into its halls. Each donor who contributes $5,000 or more will be recognized on a prominently displayed plaque within the chapter lodge. All donors contributing $1,000 or more to the campaign will be recognized in campaign publications, unless otherwise requested. TAX-DEDUCTIBLE GIFTS The Internal Revenue Service will allow exclusively educational space in the lodge to be funded with tax-deductible dollars that are gifted to the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation and designated for the Delta Psi Chapter. Tax deductibility through the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation will be offered to alumnae considering gifts of $5,000 and above.
