New members A Beautiful View, 410- 3959, Redding Daystar Ranch, Inc., 347- 9902, 17596 South Lake Road, Cottonwood What a year I'm so thankful for ev- erything that took place this past year with the chamber. We added 22 new members. Kristen Gray completed her chairwoman duties in June, handing off to Scott Camp. Scott has run with strategy, working together with our new board for great chamber momentum to continue. We conducted 14 rib- bon cuttings and have seen our Ambassador pro- gram grow and make even more impact through- out our business commu- nity. The chamber con- tinued all of our normal events such as Good Morn- ing, Red Bluff and special Business After Hours Mix- ers. We will continue with several newer events that were extremely exciting; BEAM, our Business Expo and Mixer in February, the Cowboy Golf Tournament in April — both of which were sold out. We promoted more than 235 community events that assist local businesses and organizations, many of which bring in visitors to our area. The phone calls, office visits, e-mails, web- site hits and Facebook presence all have contin- ued to increase. We sent out more than 700 visitor information and reloca- tion packets and more than 6,000 calendars of events were viewed this year. Our parades and farm- ers markets were amaz- ing and continue to grow. We have increased our partnership with regional and statewide chambers and tourism organizations for greater effectiveness to promote our city and county. Our chamber dinner in September was a wonder- ful event filled with awards and fun. Our first ever Chamber Business Directory and Tourism Guide was com- pleted in November and has been greatly received. We ended the year with a new event, the Chamber Christmas Breakfast at Red Bluff Dodge. It brought in dozens of toys for the CHiPs for Kids toys drive and lots of dollars donated to give to a needy family. So much more happened throughout the year that I am unable to fit in my col- umn this month — so I in- vite you to please visit our website and Facebook page for more information. Our desire is to con- tinue to encourage busi- ness, tourism and the lo- cal economy not with just "busyness" but strategic effort to strengthen and grow our local economy. Thank you all for being members of the chamber, volunteering and support- ing us throughout the years. More than 4,000 hours were logged in by volunteers to the chamber through events and daily chamber promo- tion of our area this past year alone. Congratulations volunteers, we couldn't do it without you. 2016 will be a great year — the best is yet to come.
