I think songwriter Lee Greenwood may be on a suicide watch after hearing last week that a Massachusetts elementary school was having a fourth grade assembly where the children were going to sing his famous patriotic ballad "God Bless the USA" by leaving the word God out of the song. Unbelievable! And why would they do this? Because some inept "left-winged" idiot educator wanted to be politically and fanatically correct. Are you kidding me? Well, perhaps have children out of wedlock? And, let's not exclude those who have resigned over allegations of sexual deviation, infl uence peddling, insider trading or have been censored for tax evasion. No wonder everyone in Washington these days is adamantly promoting the notion that separating church and state is a good idea. They have a real aversion to the Ten Commandments. After all, this godless and unconscionable behavior can only be explained by trying to create a nation where symbols and standards of godliness, decency, honesty and humanity are obviated so a "culture of corruption" can be nurtured openly and freely without the risk consequence. Sound crazy? We'll see. In the meantime, the Ten I should not be all that surprised. After all, integrity and traditional American values seem to be diminishing — and of little importance these days. We now endure, and sometimes validate, behavior that a couple of short decades we would have deemed inappropriate and unacceptable. Like the GSA employees who recently spent $830,000 partying in Las Vegas at tax payers' expense (and laughing about it). Or the Obama administration's loss of $530 million of taxpayers' money on an ill-advised and bankrupt "clean energy" initiative (Sollyndra). How about sitting U.S. Presidents who get sexual favors from young interns or high-ranking Congressional adulterers who Our own government is setting all time highs for new lows.
