Lambda Chi Alpha was the heart of my college experience. When I think about NC State, I think
about our fraternity, the brothers and the house. I still remember my first Lambda Chi contact for rush
(Burke Barbee), I still remember my pledge trainer (Gene Taylor), I still remember my big brother (Ken
Haigler), I still remember my first little brother (Doggett Whitaker), and, of course, I still remember our
housemother, Mrs. Ruth Jones. My fraternity became my family and my home was at 108 S. Fraternity
Court. For a guy like me who grow up in a small, rural community with some self-doubt about making
it on the college level, I knew I belonged when I became a brother at Gamma Upsilon. I knew I had the
support of the brothers, and I knew I could make it in the world. Thanks to all of the brothers who came
before me who built the chapter, and I say, 'Lets Pass It On!'"
