Special to the DN The Red Bluff Elks had the privilege of recognizing the outstanding high school and the elementary students of the month for February 2012 on March 15 at the Elks Lodge. third Thursday of each month at the Elks' Lodge, 355 Gilmore Road. You will not be disappointed as you see these young people speak about themselves, about their future and "Doing the Right Thing". These presentations are done every month at the Lodge and are one of the many things that the Elks do for the youth of the community. The Elks, Mr. Fred Null, a long time member of the educational system in Red Bluff and Charlie Jefferson, a mem- ber of the youth activity committee for the Elks, invite the public to attend these programs. Programs are done at noon on the Recipients are given a certificate of recognition, a pen and pencil set along with a buffet lunch. There were 17 students and I wish I could write about each and every one of their comments, but I cannot so you will just have to attend with your child or a neigh- bor's child or just come in. You will be wel- come, and may buy lunch and you will enjoy. Many family members and friends attend to support these outstanding students.
