The House Corporation Board opened the house to show their plans for redecorating this summer and Jolene Schulz '62 invited everyone to eat at the private University Club on campus. Crescent Corner Jolene Schulz '62 and Debbie Hanuscin were presented with the 2015 Chancellor's Award at the 48th annual Faculty-Alumni Awards Ceremony hosted by the Mizzou Alumni Association (MAA). The awards ceremony celebrates outstanding faculty and alumni who work to advance the arts, sciences, and humanities. Debbie works as an associate professor of science education and physics for the university, and Jolene is an educator and co-owner of Tiger Trolley Tours. Joanie Abramson '72 served on the Kentucky Parole Board under three governors and has retired from the court system after developing and implementing drug courts throughout the Commonwealth. Joanie and her wife, Peggy Miller, have lived in Versailles, Ky., for 25 years. Peggy retired as a corporate litigator so that the two could travel and spend time with their grandchildren. Joanie learned a great deal from Gamma Phi, such as how strong women can be quiet leaders. She can be reached on Facebook or at joanieabramson@aol.com. Maureen Stolar Kanefield '74 graduated in 1978 and returned to her home city of Chicago, where she received her master's degree and began a 33-year career as a middle school teacher in the northern suburbs. Maureen resides with her husband, Lee, in the heart of Chicago. She enjoys taking advantage of the sports and culture that the city offers. Maureen's aspirations to continue making a dif- ference in children's lives remains a priority. Since her retirement in 2011, Maureen has pub- lished an award-winning children's picture book, The Magic of Maxwell and his Tail, and devel- oped an educational interactive app with a read-aloud option and educational games. Sarah Bunce Kohnle '76, a North Dakota native, says life came full circle when she and her husband, Mark, returned to Columbia, as she now teaches a Mizzou journalism class she once took.
