As usual, the show will be taped several weeks earlier in Washington, D.C. — and singer-songwriter King's fellow honorees are filmmaker George Lucas, actresses Rita Moreno and Cicely Tyson, and conductor Seiji Ozawa. Music's Eagles also were slated to receive the Honors this year, but that presentation has been postponed until member Glenn Frey recovers from recent health concerns. You'll be glad to know there will be even more King on the home screen soon. In February, PBS' "American Masters" will present the new episode "Carole King: You've Got a Friend," tracing her life and career — and encompassing the autobi- ographical, Tony Award-win- ning stage hit "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical." Q : My husband and I have enjoyed watching the Canadian series "Mur- doch Mysteries" on Netflix.
