I recently visited the Pi chapter house for a Monday night meeting to meet some of our fantastic collegiate members and talk about the role of the House Corporation. I regularly find myself back within the four walls of Gamma Phi Beta, and I feel fortunate to retain that connection with this sisterhood. In addition to meeting in the dining room with the HC board, I recently participated in a few alumnae panels, and my whole family enjoyed the annual French Toast Feed last spring. Along with many of you, I joined in celebrating 100 years of Pi Chapter at our centennial celebration last year. I encourage you all to find ways to reconnect as well! Many things on the financial side for Pi Chapter continue to be in order. Last summer, we completed renovation of the tube room downstairs, and the active sisters enjoy spending time and movie nights together in comfort and style. I am moving into the president role with a mortgage nearly paid off. We have a debt balance of less than $200,000. Thank you to all of our sisters for their generous support and a strong membership program. Our major goal is to eliminate that debt in the next year. Can you imagine what we will be able to do for our beautiful home and our sisters once we are debt-free? Please consider whether you can help us fulfill that vision! Beautiful, poised, inspiring; let me tell you, the future of this sisterhood looks bright! Not only do we have a fabulous group of active members, we have consistently been blessed with strong, mature, intelligent, and thoughtful collegiate leadership. I continue to be impressed and encouraged when I interact with these young women. This is also a testament to our collegiate advisory team and how hard they are working with our chapter to maintain a standard of excellence in all facets of sorority life. I'm a partner at Woods & Aitken LLP, and I counsel clients in real estate and corporate transactions. I'm a mom. My husband has stuck with me for 11 years, and we have three awesome kids who are growing way too fast! I'm an eater. Most people would say they like to cook or bake, but I'm just keeping it real. I'm a runner. For my physical health, my mental health, and my emotional health. I'm a Gamma Phi Beta. Not "I was a Gamma Phi." I was, am, and will always be!
