Plan Now
for Our Third
Annual Golf
Tournament!
Our third annual Alabama Beta
alumni golf tournament will be held
in spring 2016. We're working to set
the location and date for this event.
More information will be posted on
the Chapter website and on the alumni
Facebook page as we get closer to this
event. Please plan to join us!
O
n August 1, Atlanta area Alabama Beta alumni and their wives enjoyed a cookout hosted
by Reaves Newsom '92 and his wife, Carmen, at their home in Roswell, Georgia. Alumni
from the '60s, '70s, and '90s attended and enjoyed a succulent brisket prepared by Reaves and
side dishes brought by all who attended.
Food, drinks, and brotherhood were enjoyed in the entertainment area near the magnificent
swimming pool. Many stories were told and some of them, or at least parts, were true. Everyone
had a great time and all who were present were in favor of another get-together.
Two alumni who were in attendance have sons at Alabama this fall. Reaves' oldest son is an
incoming freshman and a member of the Million Dollar Band. Jeff Campbell '92 has a son who
is a current student and returned for the fall semester.
We hope to have an even bigger turnout for future alumni events, and we highly encourage you to
reconnect with Alabama Beta and stop by the Chapter House to meet the undergraduate members!
