Hogs & Rags Preregistration Party: You're Invited by JIM JONES The Fayetteville Hogs and Rags fundraising machine is in high gear. The 7th Annual Hogs & Rags committee is hard at work to make this year even better than last year's event. The committee has added a pre-registration party this year. Hosted by M&M Leather & Custom Cycles and Speed Demon Bar and Grill located at 4400 Bragg Boulevard, Fayetteville N.C., the party is slated for Saturday, March 31. Hogs and Rags is an annual event for motorcycles of all kinds, convertibles, classic cars and any other vehicles out there. Last year was the biggest event ever, and event organizers aim to make this year bigger still. The event raises money for a variety of charities. This year the proceeds will go to the Shriners Hospital for Children, the American Cancer Society and Kidsville News!. The preregistration event runs from noon until 8 p.m. There will be live band performances starting at 2 p.m., running through the end of the party. Bands scheduled to play include Fahrenheit, Several Devils Band and the Crush and Run Band. Speed Demon Bar and Grill will have all day food and drink specials, so come hungry. The 7th Annual Hogs & Rags ride is on the April 27 and kicks off the begin- ning of Fayetteville's Dogwood Festival. The ride is a nice route from the Airborne and Special Operations Museum and includes a breakfast stop at the Rocking "A" Ranch in White Oak. It ends at Landry's Seafood at Boardwalk on the Beach in Myrtle Beach, where participants are invited to share a wonderful meal. At Landry's riders have the opportunity to enter their bike in a bike show. During the meal, there will be door prizes and a raffle for $2,500.00. The ride is $50 per entry and an additional $30 each additional passenger. Each person also receives a Hogs and Rags T-Shirt. All of this plus a great ride is included in the price. Both of these events are going to be a great time and an opportunity to meet new people. Mark your calendars, bring your friends out for a good time and help make this the best year ever. You can also pre-register or make donations online at www. hogsandrags.com. If you have questions about the pre-registra- tion event, contact John at 536-8969.
