24 www.DesertMessenger.com November 4, 2015 RECYCLE THIS NEWSPAPER thank you! In Memoriam Taken far too soon, Scott Daniel Mo- ran, 44, unexpectedly went home to Jesus on October 23, 2015. Scott was born November 2, 1970 in Lancaster, California. He spent most of his childhood in southern Cali- fornia until relocating to Southern Oregon in 1984. There he briefly at- tended Klamath Union High School. As a young adult, Scott developed a love for cooking. He would spend the next 30+ years doing a job he truly enjoyed. He worked in vari- ous restaurants in Klamath Falls, Oregon until his permanent move to Quartzsite in 2006. He became a well-known favorite by the winter visitors and locals while he cooked at Mountain Quail Cafe, Q-Town Café, and Sweet Darlene's. When Scott wasn't cooking he acted as a "Jack of All Trades;" from tile setting to construction. He enjoyed tinkering and building. Scott will be missed for his infec- tious laugh and one of a kind sense of humor. He was a big guy, with a big attitude, and even bigger heart. Scott is survived by his mother and step father, Karen and Steve Sartwell of Quartzsite, Ariz. Father and step mother Larry and Chris Moran of Palmdale, Ca. Brother Randy Moran also of Palmdale, Calif. Sister Heather Moran of Klamath Falls, Ore. Sister and Brother in Law, Ashlee and Jere- my Barnett of Quartzsite, Ariz. He also leaves behind nephews and nieces; Anthony Graham and Jenna Moran of Klamath Falls, Ore. and Eian, Keigan, and Zoiee Barnett; and step father of 27 years, Don Day of Quartzsite, Ariz. Scott is also survived by step broth- ers and sisters Mitchell Sartwell, Leah Williams, Alene McDaniel, and Angela Guenther; as well as his maternal grandmother Betty Mitchell of Lan- caster, Calif. There are also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that will be missing Scott. He was preceded in death by ma- ternal grandfather Robert Mitchel and paternal grandparents Robert D. Moran and Elizabeth Moran. Rest in Peace Scotty! We Love you!
