The Board of Direc-
tors for the Fayetteville-
Cumberland County
Chamber of Commerce
voted to move the Cham-
ber offi ces to 1019 Hay
St., Fayetteville, NC
28305. The Chamber
will move by March
2010, leasing the 4400
sq. ft. space with a future option to buy.
"The Board and staff are extremely
excited about the opportunity to provide
street level access to our members and the
community," said Douglas Peters, president
and CEO of the Chamber.
"Like every business in the community
we are optimistic in our future and prepar-
ing ourselves to excel in this challenging
yet promising economic environment. This
historic location was a fantastic opportu-
nity that we could not pass up."
The Chamber has been in the Robert
C. Williams office building since 2000 and
will be moving out as its lease expires.
The new location, an historic
home with a history as long as the
Chamber's, is only a few blocks away
and will provide ample parking for
chamber visitors.
