A : If you haven't found it already by the time you read this, the drama starring Matt Passmore and Stepha- nie Szostak has just started Season 2 on Fridays. It's slat- ed to continue its run there through December, though there could be holiday-sea- son preemptions that would extend that into the start of 2016. Q : There was a made-for- TV movie in the 1970s that was a great thriller, but I haven't seen it in years. It was titled "Murder in Texas," and it starred Andy Griffith, Farrah Fawcett, Sam Elliott ... and I can pic- ture the other actress, but her name just doesn't come to mind. — Elizabeth Hos- ler, Fayetteville, N.C. A : Sam Elliott could tell you her name quite easily, since it's his wife, Katharine Ross. The fact-inspired mini- series actually aired first in 1981, and it's widely believed that Griffith's performance as a lawyer (which earned him an Emmy nomination) sparked the idea for his long-running series "Matlock." If the drama were to be shown now, Lifetime or Life- time Movie Network would seem the likeliest avenues for it ... and though they some- times reach back that far for a repeat of a broadcast-network project, it doesn't happen that often. "Murder in Texas" was released on VHS tape many years ago, but copies aren't easy to find now — and if you see it offered on DVD or the Internet, be aware those are bootleg copies (of which the quality can't be guaranteed), since it has never had an official release on disc by a commercial studio. Q : "Under the Dome" ended with a cliffhang- er. The Season 3 finale of the Stephen King-inspired CBS drama turned out to be the series finale, decided by the network not long before the episode aired. That hour already was completed by the time the announcement was made, so it ran as was, designed to continue the story if there was be a Season 4.
