Sigma Kappa Promotes the Importance of Strong Sisterly Bonds Chapter Encourages Connecting with All Xi Members, Past and Present Undergraduates Hooked on Sisterhood Our Chapter Retreat to Wildwood Education Center for a day of outdoor activities—including fishing, rock climbing, and canoeing—was a real treat. It was nice to escape Lawrence for a day and get better acquainted with our sisters, especially the 64 new members we acquired from formal recruitment this fall. Up next, our women will take on Kaufman Stadium to cheer the Royals to another victory! Ritual Refresher In September, our chapter sponsored an educational program on ritual for our campus' Greek community. Mr. Pete Smithhisler, former NIC president and current CEO of All Things Possible, made the journey to the University of Kansas on September 22 to present the program "Ritual: From My Perspective." This program was intended to remind all members of Greek life at KU why their organization was founded, and on what principles, to promote a more values-based culture at the university. Reconnect with Xi Whether you're here for Homecoming, a Jayhawks game, or just passing through Lawrence, I encourage you to stop by the chapter house. We genuinely enjoy having the opportunity to connect with our alumnae and thank them in person for their continued support that leads to our success. Recruitment recommendations are always welcome.
