Keeping Close with Kappa Alpha Χ Ω 3 T his semester, Kappa Alpha has started out on a great note! We had a wonderful recruitment week, inviting 57 new sisters into our Chapter as the 100th new member class. We could not be more excited to welcome them into the Kappa Alpha sisterhood and show them what it means to be a Chi Omega. Summer and first weeks of the semester were spent gearing up for our new members! We were lucky enough to have Libby Stropko, Zeta Beta '11, our National consultant from the spring semester, spend this time with us as well as Morgan Netz, Kappa '12, a first-year National consultant. With their help, as well as the awesome attitudes of active members, we had a successful recruitment and Bid Day. Fortunately for us, this will not be our only visit from Nationals this year! In November, Kappa Alpha will host a mock trial. We're looking forward to spending more time with ΧΩ National representatives and learning from the mock trial experience. Later this fall, we will also be holding our annual philanthropy, Candy Cane Lane on McCain. This event will take place in December and invites both community members and Kansas State students to drive through our parking lot for cookies and hot chocolate. We will invite Kornerbooth Photography as well as Santa Clause for memorable photo opportunities! As you can, see we are eager and excited for this semester and the exciting things that we have planned. We look forward to sharing in these activities with our new members as well as any alumnae who are interested. You are always welcome for a visit at the Chapter House!
