House Corporation by Attending This Year's Summit
M
arilyn McCrillis Nichols '75 and Kim Elston Jacobson '80
had the honor to attend the Rena and Jason Pilalas National
House Corporation Summit this summer. The Summit was named in
honor of a dedicated Chi Omega sister, Rena Elder Pilalas, Phi '61,
and her husband, Jason.
The Summit was a weekend designed to educate, inspire, and thank
Chi Omega's House Corporation members from all of Chi Omega's
178 Chapters. Marilyn and Kim learned from each other and from
industry professionals how to help Kappa Alpha members continue to
thrive! It is the House Corporation's objective to protect and preserve
the Chapter assets while providing a safe and desirable environment
for Chi Omega members.
The Kappa Alpha House Corporation proudly protects and preserves
the assets of Kappa Alpha, and has even made improvements in the
two main areas discussed with regard to House Corporation objectives:
facility improvements and food. This summer, an irrigation system
was installed to ensure that the Chapter House has green grass. Last
spring, we made a big change in our food budget. Kappa Alpha hired
College Chefs, a leader in the fraternity and sorority catering sector.
The chefs are professionally trained, use fresh ingredients, and make
meals from scratch.
The Kappa Alpha House Corporation is extremely proud of the strides
our members and alumnae are making. Thank you to our dedicated
House Corporation members and all of our supportive alumnae for
your continued support!
