Pi Kappa Alpha Housing Corporation
Gamma Chi Chapter
Oklahoma State University
Gentlemen:
Congratulations to the Gamma Chi alumni leadership on your decision to build a new
Chapter house. For more than 80 years, Pi Kappa Alpha has been a valued member of Oklahoma
State University and our Greek community.
The standards for student housing at OSU are increasing each year. As you know, the
University has taken an aggressive role to address the student resident facilities. Students are
being provided with sufficient space and technology to support their complex lifestyles and fos-
ter their academic development. The University is committed to a strong Greek community that
provides a positive learning and growth experience. It is, therefore, critical for Greek housing to
meet and exceed the standard being set by the University. We are proud that Pi Kappa Alpha is
taking an active role along with Alpha Gamma Rho, FarmHouse, and Phi Gamma Delta in build-
ing new Chapter houses to address the needs of our undergraduate students. Pi Kappa Alpha's
commitment to develop its physical structure into a living/learning center will ensure Pike's
home as one of the preeminent fraternities in Stillwater and throughout the country.
I applaud the launching of a capital campaign for the Gamma Chi Chapter and offer my
personal support to their plans to achieve the goals of the campaign. I do hope that the alumni
of Pi Kappa Alpha will respond to the capital campaign with a degree of generosity that reflects
an appreciation for what Pike and Oklahoma State have done for them and a desire to see the
Chapter be a positive factor in the lives of young men for generations to come.
Sincerely,
V. Burns Hargis
