A Publication of Chi Omega at the University of Kansas Lambda Log FALL 2015 House Corporation oversees impressive summer renovations A s we welcome 61 outstanding new members to Lambda, it is once again an exciting time to reflect on the legacy of our beloved Chapter. This summer, the house was abuzz with workers as we worked to maintain and improve our historic home, ensuring that the collegians have a safe, welcoming, updated environment for the new school year. Thanks to our loyal alumnae, the Lambda Chapter House saw some significant improvements this summer. These improvements included new flooring throughout the upstairs (bedrooms, hallways, and stairwells), a new dining room buffet, new counters in the dining room and kitchenette, and brand new floors in the tube room! One of the most exciting projects was a full renovation of the downstairs craft and laundry room. The collegians are now able to enjoy an updated, modernized space with new furnishings and television. Thanks to the generosity of the Parent's Club, we were able to provide four brand new washers and dryers, which require no coins to operate. The renovation truly transformed the downstairs space. A special thanks to our corporation members for making these projects a reality, especially Jennifer Inskeep Godar '92. Jennifer's countless hours and tireless dedication were vital to the successful completion of all of the house projects this summer. Thanks to your generosity and support, Chi Omega continues to be the most beautiful house on the Hill and one of the top chapters in the nation. We invite everyone to stop by the Chapter House on any home football game for a tour! Loyally, Mary Moen Ring '77 Lambda Owl Foundation President Julie Numrich Murray '96 House Corporation President Stop by this fall to see updates to our home on the Hill! An Update from Your Advisory Board T he Advisory Board had a busy summer, beginning with a national recruitment team visit in June and a workshop with the executive board. We also enjoyed a Chi Omega gathering with the Owl Foundation, House Corporation Board, and Advisory Board at the lovely home of Mary Moen Ring '77. We recently hosted Lacey Myers, Nu Lambda, our Chi Omega regional director from headquarters, for recruitment week and Advisory Board training. She is working closely with our Chapter on many programs. This fall we will also have a national ritual team visit and workshop. Thank you for your support, especially those who wrote recommendation letters and RIFs this summer. We are excited about our outstanding new member class! I would like to thank all of our alumnae for their time and dedication. We are proud to volunteer for Lambda and look forward to a great year ahead. Rock Chalk! Loyally, Jennifer Mueller Alderdice, Kappa Alpha '91 Personnel Advisor
