The ministry's mission is to provide effective professional clinical counseling services from a faith-based perspective to individuals and families facing difficult problems. Dr. Martin's own life experience has prepared him to lead this agency, which serves children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. As a 28-year Army veteran, father of four children and grandfather to eight grandchildren, Dr. Martin understands the needs of today's families. Dr. Martin received his theological education from Carolina Bible College and Regent University, and his clinical education from Liberty University, equipping him to integrate Biblical principles with professional counseling concepts and best practices. In addition to being nationally certified and licensed by the State of NC as a professional counselor and clinical supervisor (LPC & ACS), Dr. Martin has assembled a unique staff of eight licensed clinicians from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Dr. Martin and his staff have expertise in treating a variety of complex problems including marriage and family issues, trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress, among others. We are pleased to announce the addition of Laurie Powers, PA-C to the practice. Mrs. Powers is a Certified Physician Assistant who is Board Certified in both Primary Care and Psychiatry, and provides family education, non- medication options, as well as medication management.
