Additional personnel are needed because of the city's growth over the last few years. The added staff will be located at Station No. 19 to service the I-295-Ramsey Street area and Station No. 1 to assist near Cedar Creek Road and I-95. The curbside recycling program generated enough interest that "super recyclers" purchased larger recycling carts and tons upon tons of recyclable materials were collected. The Fayetteville Area System of Transit (FAST) added new buses DQGOLJKWWUDQVLWYHKLFOHV/79VZKLOHRIIHULQJ extended hours on several routes and debuting a new route. There was more good news in Fayetteville local government in 2009, so sit back, relax and reminisce. Larger Recycling Carts Rollout, Recycling Program Does Well When the curbside recycling program began in 2008, some excited citizens were disappointed with the 36-gallon recycling cart they received. They expressed their feelings in calls to the City's Customer Call Center and through an online survey. The City responded by offering 96-gallon recycling carts, the most popular pick in the survey, giving "super recyclers" more room to recycle their materials.
