It took me a while to realize there were some episodes I had missed, and I now think I've seen all the repeats. Will there be any new episodes, and if so, how will I know? — Ellie Bailey, Ponce Inlet, Fla. A : You can know right now: No, there won't be any new episodes — that is, ones that haven't already been produced and shown. The show was one of the first to use the so-called "10-90" model established by syndi- cation firm Debmar-Mercury ... meaning that 10 episodes originally were made, then if more were wanted by the telecaster (in that case, FX), a firm 90-episode order would be placed. True to that, 100 episodes of "Anger Management" exist, that being considered that magic number that qualifies a show for syndication. How- ever, it should be noted that one episode never has been shown; it was filmed toward what ended up as the end of the tenure of original co-star Selma Blair, who was dis- missed from the series after star Charlie Sheen threat- ened to quit unless she was let go. Q : Why have there been so many host changes on "The View" lately? — Susan Powell, Glen Burnie, Md. A : Over the past year, a lot of it has stemmed from efforts to retool the show with the departures of co-host Barbara Walters and her part- ner in executive-producing the weekday ABC program, Bill Geddie. That also saw a shift from it being overseen by the network's entertain- ment division to its news division, which has tried to address lowered ratings and competition from other similar programs. Rosie O'Donnell (who had returned last year), Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace all have departed "The View" lately, with Raven-Symone and Michelle Collins landing permanent spots at the table. Also coming on board in the fall are "Full House" alum Candace Cameron-Bure — who already has shown herself quite willing to "mix it up" on the show — and Paula Faris, who is expected to keep her weekend-co-anchor job on ABC's "Good Morning America" as well. Joy Behar has said recently that she was approached about re- turning, but she claims stick- ing points over her having more creative control ended those negotiations.
