The 2011 production was a "seizing" success as "What You Seize is What You Get" sold out both performances and gar- nered rave reviews from all generations and a variety of audience members! The 2012 Murder Mystery Dinner Project is the perfect venue to bring your creative vision to life on stage! The project includes working with the production's Director and over- seeing a variety of project managers including food and beverage, set design, advertising and marketing, fundraising and underwriting, VIP and ticket sales, and creative pro- duction including sound and light- ing, costuming and special effects! This group of volunteers is very active in making sure that books are updated and taken care of, that the library has the equipment it needs, including computers and main- taining the building. There were some tasty breakfast treats and beverages and some very nice door prizes. Our next monthly gathering will be Corning in the Evening, March 8 hosted by House of Brews Specialty Coffees, 615 4th Street, so mark your calendar. • Awards Dinner - The Corning Exchange Club is hosting the Annual Firemen and Police Officers Award Banquet 6:30 p.m. Feb. 25, at the Corning Veterans Memorial Hall, 1620 Solano St. The steak dinner is $12.50 per person. QuickBooks workshop The Small Business Development Center at Butte College presents "QuickBooks Beyond Basics & Advanced Features." The workshop will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 22 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Butte Community Employment Cen- ter, 78 Table Mountain Blvd. in Oroville. The cost of the workshop is $50 per person pre- paid or $60 per person at the door. This workshop will locus on advanced Quick- Books functions.
