So why should they try to cram time into their already hectic schedules to join and actively participate in the chamber? Because membership offers numerous benefits and keeps business owners on top of important, ever-changing issues and trends within their community and local marketplace. According to a research study by The Shapiro Group, Inc. and Market Street Services, when consumers know that a small business is a member of their local chamber of commerce, they are 44% more likely to think favorably of it and 63% more likely to purchase goods or services from the company in the future. One of the outcomes of the Chamber Task Force 2025 report was better engagement of the membership. The Chamber's Executive Committee and Board moved quickly to begin this process by reestablishing a membership committee and appointed Katy Lollis, General Sales Manager of Beasley Media Group. Katy didn't waste anytime and got together a committee to begin work. Katy and her committee began reaching out to current and past members to listen and talk about the value that Chamber membership provides for businesses in our community. Through these listening sessions, the membership committee heard there was confusion over membership levels and what benefits were received as a member. Katy and her committee immediately began to put in place an education campaign for the membership as well as began reevaluating the true value of the published benefits. We can expect to see changes in the way the Chamber interacts with its members over the next few months. aug 6 aug 20 aug 25 159 MAXWELL STREET, FAYETTEVILLE | (910) 483-8133 | FAYBIZ.COM BUFFALO WILD WINGS RIBBON CUTTING 2097 Skibo Rd 10:30am, Ribbon cutting at 10:45am CHAIRMAN'S COFFEE CLUB & BLOOD DRIVE 1105 Highland Country Club Drive 7:30am, Blood Drive 9:30am to 1pm OVM FINANCIAL RIBBON CUTTING 2944 Breezewood Ave. Ste #201 4pm
