Thefollowingdefendants were sentenced in Tehama County Superior Court, according to the Tehama County District Attorney's Office: RecentState/Local Prison Commitments: People vs. Victor Cama- cho-Hernandez, Transpor- tation of Controlled Sub- stances Between Non- Contiguous Counties, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale; Sale of a Controlled Substance, Maintaining a Place for Selling Controlled Sub- stances. Brief history: Defendant was stopped while trans- porting 5.4 pounds of her- oin, 6.7 pounds of cocaine, and 5.5 pounds of meth- amphetamine through Te- hama County. He was ini- tially sentenced to 6 years 8 months County Jail. While "serving" that sentence by wearing an ankle monitor, he was arrested for selling heroin out of his residence. Sentenced to 8 years, 4 months State Prison People vs. Donnie Webb, Attempted Murder, two counts. Brief history: During the night, Defendant tried to smother his girlfriend and his nephew with pil- lows, and his mother with a quilt. During these acts he said that he was going to kill them all so that there would be "no more prob- lems." When discussing the case with the arresting of- ficer, he said "I should have finished the job." Sentenced to 7 years, 4 months State Prison People vs. Eric Mickelson, Corporal Injury to Spouse; Receiving Stolen Property; 2nd Degree Burglary; Van- dalism Brief history: Defendant dumped loads of nails on the road in front of the Si- erra Pacific plant in retal- iation for being fired. The nails caused thousands of dollars in damage to com- pany and employees' vehi- cles. Defendant attacked his girlfriend by pushing her by the throat, throw- ing her to the ground, and hitting her with her purse. Defendant was caught sell- ing stolen model trains on eBay. Defendant broke into a parked car and stole per- sonal items. Defendant was initially placed on proba- tion in each case, but later violated probation by test- ing positive for drugs. Sentenced to 6 years State Prison People vs. Kenneth Eden, Assault with a Firearm and Use of a Firearm Brief history: In Novem- ber 2012, Defendant held a gun to his girlfriend's head, threatened to kill her, and clicked the trigger twice. Defendant was initially granted probation, but vio- lated probation on two dif- ferent occasions. Sentenced to 5 years State Prison People vs. Ryan Lamer- ill, Meeting Minor for Lewd Purposes Failure to Regis- ter as a Sex Offender Brief history: As a result of a sting operation, De- fendant arranged to meet what he believed to be a 14 year old girl through in- ternet contacts. Defendant showed up for the meeting and was arrested. Defen- dant subsequently failed to register as a sex offender as required. Sentenced to 3 years, 8 months State Prison People vs. James Baesler, Resisting Officer with Force or Violence, Residential Burglary Brief history: Defendant was contacted by deputies as a suspected prowler at- tempting to break into a residence. Defendant fought with three deputies, resulting in a bruise to one deputy's knee. He also spat on a ride-along, and fought with four correctional offi- cers at the jail. He was ini- tially granted probation. A month later he entered an apartment without permis- sion and stole the victim's car keys. He was arrested on scene after a struggle with officers. Sentenced to 4 years State Prison People vs. Brandon Hasty, Evading Officers with Reck- less Disregard for Safety Brief history: Officer at- tempted to stop Defendant for speeding on I-5. Defen- dant fled at speeds up to 130 mph, swerving through traffic. One officer crashed his vehicle during pursuit. Defendant crashed his car and ran away, then called CHP to report his car sto- len. Defendant later admit- ted having been the driver in the pursuit. Sentenced to 3 years State Prison People vs. James Worley II, Criminal Threats, Crim- inal Threats Brief history: Defendant held a knife to his ex-girl- friend's throat and threat- ened to kill her. He was granted probation. A few months later, he showed up at her house waving a hand- gun and screaming that he wanted to talk to her. Sentenced to 2 years, 8 months State Prison People vs. Daniel Boyles, Concealed Dirk or Dagger with prior strike Brief history: Defendant was found to be in posses- sion of a concealed knife after an altercation with a woman at the woman's res- idence. Sentenced to 2 years, 8 months State Prison People vs. Amanda Parker, Arson Brief history: Defendant lit grass fires while walk- ing along I-5. She told offi- cers that she had lit them because she was trying to get back to Oregon and she thought if she got arrested she would get a ride to Or- egon. Sentenced to 2 years State Prison People vs. Manuel Jimenez, Cultivation of Marijuana; Possession of Ammunition by a Felon. Brief history: Defendant was caught working in a marijuana grow with over 8000 plants. He was in pos- session of a firearm despite a previous felony conviction for DUI causing injury. Sentenced to 2 years State Prison People vs. Anil Francis, Evading an Officer With Willful Disregard Brief history: Defendant was observed speeding at up to 100 mph on I-5; when of- ficers attempted to stop him he led them on a lengthy chase at high speeds before finally stopping. Sentenced to 16 months State Prison. People vs. Shane Holtzclaw, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon Brief history: Defendant stole a vehicle with two shotguns inside. Defen- dant was on Post-release Community Supervision at the time. Sentenced to 16 months State Prison Recent County Jail Commitments: People vs. Kristi Biddle, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale Brief history: Defendant was contacted by officers and found to be in posses- sion of a large quantity of methamphetamine, along with paraphernalia typi- cally used by drug dealers. She admitted that she in- tended to sell the metham- phetamine. At the time, De- fendant was on felony pro- bation for several crimes which have since been re- duced to misdemeanors un- der Prop 47. Sentenced to 16 months county jail. People vs. Brandon Spharler, Possession of Mar- ijuana for Sale; 2nd Degree Robbery Brief history: As the re- sult of a traffic stop, De- fendant was found to be in possession of 18 pounds of marijuana which he ad- mitted he intended to sell for a profit. Defendant took steaks from Raley's and attempted to leave with- out paying for them. When confronted by employees of Raley's, defendant fought with them and appeared to be trying to pull a knife from his pocket. Sentenced to 5 years 8 months State Prison sus- pended with 5 years proba- tion and 200 days county jail. People vs. Leland Wil- son, Driving Under the In- fluence of Drugs, Possession of Marijuana, Failure to Ap- pear on Felony Case Brief history: Defendant was pulled over for failing to dim his headlights and was determined to be un- der the influence of drugs. Defendant was transport- ing about a quarter pound of marijuana. Defendant willfully failed to appear in court on the transporta- tion case. Sentenced to 5 years pro- bation and 210 days county jail. People vs. Luis Islas, Re- sisting Officer With Force or Violence Brief history: Deputy contacted defendant re- garding a call that defen- dant was acting suspi- ciously. Defendant punched the deputy in the face. Sentenced to 2 years County Jail suspended, with 5 years Probation and 210 days county jail. People vs. Joshua Rut- ledge, Felony Child Endan- germent, Manufacturing Concentrated Cannabis Brief history: Defendant was manufacturing con- centrated cannabis (hash) in the garage of a residence when the butane he was using for the process ex- ploded. A child of four years was at the residence when the explosion occurred. Sentenced to 4 years Pro- bation, 270 days county jail, and 80 hours of community service. People vs. James Basham IV, Burglary, Failure to Ap- pear on a Felony Charge, Possession of a Stolen Ve- hicle Brief history: Defendant attempted to cash a check stolen from a vehicle. He was initially granted pro- bation. Defendant was caught with a stolen vehi- cle. He failed to appear at his initial court date and re- mained at large for the next eight months. Sentenced to 3 years pro- bation, 180 days county jail People vs. Lenard Latham, Elder Abuse Brief history: Defen- dant was living with his 83-year-old father, the vic- tim. The victim objected to the many friends that De- fendant invited to stay at the house and asked them to leave. Defendant shoved and kicked the victim and threatened to kill him. Sentenced to 3 years pro- bation, 60 days county jail, and 80 hours of community service. People vs. Chad Barr, Re- sisting Officer by Force or Violence, Domestic Battery Brief history: Defendant pushed his girlfriend dur- ing a disturbance. While being taken to the hospi- tal for self-inflicted inju- ries, Defendant became combative with ambulance staff. He continued his be- havior while at the hospital and tried to head-butt and bite deputies. Sentenced to 4 years pro- bation, 90 days county jail, and 80 hours of community service. Upcoming Court Dates -Trials, Preliminary Hearings (PX) & Pre Trial Conferences (PTC): People vs. Quentin Ray Bealer, Murder. Brief history: Defendant was arrested and charged with the murder of a 14 year old victim who had been re- ported missing when she never returned home from school. Officers located the victim's body two days later. PTC/MIL: Aug. 14 & Sep- tember 14 at 11 a.m. TBJ: September 28, at 8 a.m. Department to be de- termined. People vs. Joseph Cadotte, Voluntary Man- slaughter with Special Al- legation Prior Any Felony; Battery with Serious Bodily Injury with Special Allega- tion Prior Any Felony Brief history: The Defen- dant saw the victim walk- ing down the street, when he approached him and punched him. The victim fell to the ground where the Defendant continued to punch and kick the vic- tim. The victim later died. TBJ: July 22, at 1:30 p.m. Department to be deter- mined. People vs. Travis John Kilburger, Solicitation of Murder (2 counts) Brief history: Defendant was in custody on domes- tic violence charges when he solicited another inmate to kill two individuals in ex- change for cash and a ve- hicle. PTC/MIL: August 3, at 1:15 p.m. & September 4, at 11 a.m. TBJ: September 23, at 1:30 p.m. Department to be determined. People vs. Poly Duenas Sanchez, Lucio Nenecia Madera, Gabino Madera, Murder with Special Alle- gation Personal and Inten- tional Discharge of a Fire- arm, GBI, Conspiracy to Commit a Crime with Spe- cial Allegation Personal and Intentional Discharge of a Firearm, GBI. Brief history: Victim had met up with the three de- fendants regarding money that was allegedly owed to the victim. During this confrontation the victim was chased down and shot twice with a shotgun. The victim died as a result of his injuries. Arraignment on Infor- mation: July 27, at 1:15 p.m. in Department 3. People vs. Roger Sandy Bounnhaseng, Alan Duane Doulphus Jr., Chase Alan Doulphus: Murder, special allegation felony murder, personal and intentional, use of a firearm, assault with a firearm, false impris- onment by violence, trans- portation of marijuana. Brief history: The defen- dants went to a residence that contained a marijuana grow. The defendants con- fronted the victim and two other men who were at the residence and ordered them to the ground at gunpoint. The defendants proceeded to tie up the victim and the two men with zip ties and duct tape. The victim was able to free himself and at- tempt to flee the residence but was shot several times by the armed defendants. The victim eventually suc- cumbed to his injuries. De- fendant's vehicle was lo- cated a short time later and a vehicle pursuit followed. Defendant's were eventu- ally apprehended and taken into custody. Inside the ve- hicle officers located a large amount of marijuana. TBJ: October 7, at 1:30 p.m. Department to be de- termined. People vs. John Noonkester, Willful, De- liberate and Premeditated Murder with Special Alle- gation, Personal and Inten- tional Discharge of a Fire- arm, GBI (2 counts); At- tempt: Willful, Deliberate and Premeditated Mur- der with Special Allega- tion, Personal and Inten- tional Discharge of a Fire- arm, GBI. Brief history: The defen- dant is charged with shoot- ing and killing his ex-wife and her father, and shoot- ing a bystander.
