The DTS will take place Monday, August 3, 2015, from 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Online registration is requested at http://www.ncmbc. us/2015DTS.php. The purpose of the DTS is to build relationships among senior representatives from the Congressional delegation, the Department of Defense, other federal agencies and numerous defense contracting firms including North Carolina small businesses to lead to future opportunities for businesses, federal agencies, or constituents. The event includes a traditional trade show, static displays and demonstrations of military equipment, informal networking opportunities, live vendor demon- strations, structured prime contractor teaming sessions, prime contractor "lessons learned" forums, installation small business panels and contracting workshops and agency briefings for both prospective and current fed- eral contractors. Federal Agency and Resource Sessions: In addi- tion to the trade show, there will be installation small business panels and contracting workshops and agency briefings for both prospective and current federal con- tractors. These sessions will provide participants access to several federal agencies and resource providers in one central location. Special Presentation: U.S. Army Special Operations Command's (USASOC), Mr. Richard Holcomb, the Deputy to the Commanding General, will provide a special briefing during the DTS. In this position, Mr. Holcomb integrates diverse resource and research pro- grams, such as science and technology, force develop- ment, combat development, resourcing, contracting and acquisition and military construction — with a single vision of future Army Special Operations Force require- ments, capabilities and readiness. Holcomb will brief on the command's capabilities, readiness and requirements. The continuing demand for special operations forces in conflicts worldwide creates opportunities for businesses to meet the future requirements and needs of USASOC.
