The Chamber welcomes Williams Offi ce Environments, Inc. as the offi cial offi ce supplier of the Fayetteville- Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce. This new program, much like member-to-member dis- counts, off ers bigger savings to Chamber members. The Chamber and Williams Offi ce Environ- ments, Inc., has negotiated a savings program that will benefi t all Chamber members. This program is designed to give Chamber members discounts on all of their offi ce supply needs. "We're always looking for new ways to maximize Chamber member value and the return on our members' investment," said Douglas Peters, president and CEO of the Chamber. "This Affi nity Program is another added benefi t of being a Chamber member, while keeping business in the community and encouraging members to look for services locally." Doug Peters Chamber Establishes Affinity Program Business The ss Spotlight Spotlight Gregory Tapped for Chamber Post Bo Gregory has been hired as an Economic Development Project Manager for the Chamber's Economic Development Group. He will begin in early January. Gregory has been a statewide Economic Development Representative for the North Carolina Department of Commerce since September of 2007. "In an eff ort to ensure a seamless transi- tion and to guarantee that Cumberland County is poised for economic recruitment success, I am proud to announce the addition of Bo to our economic development team," said Douglas Peters, president and CEO of the Chamber. "His background in economic development, the military and sales for the private sector are a great fi t for our economic development eff orts." "It pleases me that a Commerce Department veteran sees Fayetteville as the place to be for years to come," said Greg West, vice chair for the Chamber of Commerce's Economic Development Group. "His military experience will also be a benefi t in maximizing our BRAC opportunities." Chief among his responsibility at Commerce has been to serve as the main contact for Depart- ment of Defense and military contractor business recruitment with the N.C. Military Foundation and the BRAC RTF. In addition, Gregory has managed a case load of potential and pending de- velopment projects including site selection, search and negotiation; assembly of incentive packages and researching client needs; collaboration with regional and local economic development agen- cies and was involved in more than $400 million in new investment recruited to North Carolina in 2008. He also served as N.C.'s liaison to the nation's largest trad- ing partner, assisting with business relocation from Canada. "I've been lucky that most of my career has had a military focus. Both in working to recruit military contractors and as an 82nd Airborne Division soldier," Gregory said. "My Fayetteville and Fort Bragg roots run deep as I was born at Womack Army Hospital. My family and I are excited to return to this community to settle down." Gregory has an undergraduate degree in communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Business Administration from East Carolina University School of Business.
