Zeta Chapter of Kappa Delta at the University of Alabama - Spring 2015 The Katydid OUR WORK IS NOT YET COMPLETE Campaign Momentum Continues As Construction Is Finalized T he school year at The University of Alabama has come to a close and our undergraduate members have have moved out of their temporary home. Excitement fills the air as they are heading home for the summer, because they know when they return to Tuscaloosa in August, they'll be moving into the new Kappa Delta Chapter House. Our first formal recruitment is just a few months away and we can't wait to welcome our first pledge class into a new home! Our contractor and architect, Barganier Davis Sims Architects Associated, continues to assure us that our project is right on schedule and that our undergraduate sisters will be able to move into the Chapter House in August. The work is almost complete and our interior designer and her team are preparing to make the inside of our house as beautiful as the outside. We can't wait for that Bid Day photo to be taken outside of our new house, and for so many Kappa Delta women to enjoy this new house for many years to come. The momentum for our capital campaign continues to thrive. To date we have raised $2,660,426 from 588 loyal alumnae, parents, friends, and supporters of Kappa Delta. We are so thankful for their financial contribution to the First Sorority, First Circle…Continuing the Tradition campaign. We couldn't do this without you! While we are thankful for the funds that have been raised so far, we know there is a need to meet our $3 million fundraising goal. The total cost of our new Chapter House is more than $11.9 million. Meeting our $3 million goal will offset the debt that will be incurred by future generations of Kappa Deltas. We want these women to experience the same opportunities you did as a member, so we will continue our campaign through the first year in our new Chapter House. This means there is still time to add your name to our growing list of supporters! If you have yet to donate to the campaign, now is the time!
