SAE PAGE 3 B rotherhood is strong at Alabama Alpha Mu. We continue the True Gentleman Experience, which has proven to be a strong program, sculpting brothers and new members into the True Gentleman. We also continue to better our community through philanthropy, as well as reach out and reconnect with alumni all over the southeast. Chapter Plans for Recruitment While we don't initiate any new members in the spring term, we focus on the freshman class betterment and recruitment for our fall class. Recruitment chairmen are working vigorously to put together recruitment events such as a Braves game and river float. They have also worked hard to compile a great contact list of potential new members that has reached 90. We are always looking for more young men coming to Auburn who display the makings of a True Gentleman. If you know anyone who you believe would be a welcome addition to our chapter, please send me their name, phone number, and home address. Philanthropy Remains Strong A large part of our membership is still focused on our community and what we can do to give back. We have a minimum requirement of 20 service hours per brother, although many greatly exceed that number. This semester we worked with Gameday for Heroes and the Special Olympics. The chapter has also expanded on the number of annual philanthropy events held and is starting to regularly volunteer at Storybrook Farm, something I wish to see continue for years to come. SAE Encourages Alumni Involvement As we enjoy the amazing deck our alumni were generous enough to donate, I would more like to focus my term on reconnecting and building a much stronger and closer relationship with our alumni. Alumni Chairman Nick Ferraro '17 and I have contacted alumni in some of the major cities around us including Birmingham, Atlanta, Montgomery, and Mobile. Our hope is to make a trip to each city and meet with as many alumni as possible to talk about where our chapter has been, what we are currently doing, and what we plan for the future. As always, alumni are welcome and encouraged to visit us at any time to check in and meet the brothers. Fraternally, Richard McBride '16 Eminent Archon (240) 997-3111 rmm0028@auburn.edu Throughout the years, we have prided ourselves on the quality of our brothers in the chapter. From year to year, we recruit intelligent and upstanding men to join our brotherhood. Below are charts breaking down some demographic information of this year's chapter membership.
