G amma Chapter is doing better than ever. We are broadening our horizons as a chapter and are making progress to achieve many of the goals we have set. Gamma is now bettering more men's lives than ever, with a record amount of active brothers. Our chapter has recently excelled in many areas, including philanthropy, academics, and athletics. The brothers and alumni of Gamma Chapter have gone above and beyond to make this chapter excel. I would like to congratulate all the members of Gamma Chapter on their hard work and hope we can achieve even more in the future. Fraternally, Sarp Engelman '13 (Γ1651), Noble Ruler sarp.engelman@gmail.com / (631) 873-6569 3 alpha gamma rho T his semester, approximately 80 alumni and undergraduates came together at the chapter house to celebrate Founder's Day. The day began with the alumni board meeting where the undergraduates on the executive board each presented their goals and achievements for the semester. Next, the alumni presented their reports, which included scholarship, finance, and fundraising. During the meeting, the alumni board also elected new members. Brian "Greek" Sarris '69 (Γ960) stepped down as alumni association president. We are extremely grateful for all that Greek has done for the betterment of Gamma Chapter! Corey Simmons '04 (Γ1504), the past secretary, was elected the new alumni association president. Ben Baker '06 (Γ1618) was elected secretary and Jon Schroer '90 (Γ1289) as treasurer. After the meeting, Gene Swackhamer, Delta '60 (Δ621), and his wife, Sharon, presented Gamma Chapter with a hand-sewn quilt that they bought at an auction during the National Convention at Indianapolis. The quilt is now hanging in Great Hall and is a great addition to the house! Lastly, the alumni and undergraduates convened in the basement for a nice catered lunch. The day was very enjoyable and many tasks were accomplished. We are thankful for all of the alumni who were able to attend. We hope to see you in the fall for the Alumni Homecoming! Gamma seniors cherish their final days at the chapter house.
