AOE, Kate Hendley Wood '80 President Alpha Phi House Corporation katewood61@yahoo.com Final Opportunity to Give Toward Kitchen Renovation (Continued from page 1) The Red Dress events raised funds for women's heart health and the Alpha Phi Foundation. Enthusiastic New Sisters Omicron has enjoyed a highly successful school year, starting with the initiation of 99 wonderful new sisters from the fall 2014 pledge class. These women have shown so much passion for Alpha Phi through their involvement with Homecoming, RAMS (Rockin' Against Multiple Sclerosis), and our philanthropy. Last fall we participated in Homecoming and hosted a very successful Dad's Weekend. Changes to First Floor With the help of our wonderful Omicron House Corporation and other alumnae and friends, last fall began with a refreshed main floor. We moved our television room to the former informal room and updated the décor. These changes have been very popular with our members and more sisters are now using the first floor. We are equally excited about plans to renovate the dining room and kitchen this summer, in time for next school year. Spring Members Welcomed Omicron finished second semester membership recruitment with the theme "Scooping Up the Best Since 1872," which yielded 12 new members. We had a huge ice cream party at the house with tons of toppings and pictures! We look forward to initiating these new members in the near future. Top Southern Quadrant Chapter Our Executive Board officers attended Alpha Phi's Leadership Conference in Dallas this spring. We learned so much and are excited to put new ideas into action. Omicron was recognized as one of the top 10 chapters in the southern quadrant and named as a qualifier for the coveted Order of the Lamp Award. The Order of the Lamp winner will be announced at the 2016 Alpha Phi convention. Red Dress Weekend In March, Omicron held its 10th annual Rockin' Red Dress Poker Tournament and its first Red Dress Gala. Both were extremely successful and we invite you to make plans to attend next year. In addition, Omicron held the first Alpha Phiesta event, which was attended by scores of other Mizzou Greeks and featured late-night tacos and nachos at the house. Thank You, Alumnae I want to thank all our alumnae for your continued support of Omicron. Your loyalty enables the chapter to thrive on campus, make wonderful improvements to the chapter house, and provide strong support for the Alpha Phi Foundation. Thank you for your steadfast passion for Omicron. Loyally, Ragin S.
