10.75" THE THETA UPDATE 2 H received by the community and was successful in earning funds for CASA and the Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation. Alpha Mu looks forward to our new spring philanthropic event, Bump Set Kite, a sand volleyball tournament and a carnival-themed dinner. This CASA Carnival will include hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, and games! LEAVING A MARK ON CAMPUS Many members are involved extensively on cam- pus. We have members on steering committees for RAMS, Caring for Columbia, and Mizzou for Malawi, as well as members involved in Mizzou '39, Tour Team, Outreach, and much more. As a chapter we participated in RAMS and Greek Week and were excited to be paired with the men of Sigma Phi Epsilon and Delta Kappa Epsilon for Greek Week events. INTRAMURAL SPORTS FOSTER DEEPER SISTERLY BONDS Our basketball and soccer intramural teams did quite well this season. Intramural Chairman Erin Gilliland '14 says, "I've really had a blast getting to know all of the girls through intramu- rals. Getting to play on the court and field with all of my sisters is a great bonding experience." ALPHA MU BUILDS ON TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE SET BY ALUMNAE On January 31 we held our annual Founders Day event at The Uppercrust on Elm Street. The ladies of Kappa Alpha Theta enjoyed visiting with alumnae about their memories and friend- ships in Theta. Alumnae Engagement Director Abrea Mizer '13 stated, "It is incredible to meet alumnae who have come before us and to know that it is because of their legacy that our chapter thrives. I only hope that the legacy we leave today will continue in the future. Our alumnae are truly remarkable women and I look forward to visiting with them in the future." Founders Day celebrated our visionary leaders, fine legacy of excellence, and eternal bonds of sisterhood. We are so proud of all of the accomplishments Alpha Mu Chapter has achieved and for the many more accomplishments to come. We thank our alumnae for the endless support. Please stop by the chapter house any time!
