4A Daily News –Wednesday, December 14, 2011 Santa and Mrs. Claus rumored to appear at the Cottonwood Community Library By GAYLE HARRINGTON, Director of Library Services Gayle Harrington, Director of Library Services for the Cotton- wood Community Library, says she has just gotten word from the North Pole that Santa and Mrs. Claus hope to make a quick guest appearance at next week's story- time in the library. "Even though they are very busy this time of year, the nice weather we have been having has made it possible for Santa and Mrs. Claus to take a quick trip down to the Cottonwood area," Harrington said. "I told them that we would love to have them come to our Storytime next Wednesday, Dec. 21, as we were already planning to read stories about Christmas that Wednes- day." When told that the Storytime is from 11:30 to 12:30 that day, Santa explained to Harrington that he thought they would have just enough time to stop by before going to lunch and then heading back to the North Pole to check on the toy production. The Cottonwood Community Library invites all youngsters to attend this special Storytime, complete with a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Storytime will begin at 11:30 sharp so that there will still be time afterward to visit with the famous pair. It is believed that Santa will leave his sleigh and the reindeer parked at the airport after landing there and will arrive at the library by car. "We hope to have a good showing of Cottonwood children for Santa and Mrs. Claus to visit with," Harrington said. "It's not every day that we can say that they were guests at our very own library!"
