Anchored In Delta Gamma at the University of Kansas spring 2015 inside: Alumnae Spotlights p. 2 • Beta Kappa Expands Philanthropy p. 3 • New Members p. 4 T he Beta Kappa House Corporation is thriving! The spring semester is well underway and the board is already getting geared up for summer maintenance. WELCOME, KRISTIN WING! We welcomed new member collegians Madi Boldt '13, Ciara Putnam '13, and Cat Pierce '13 to the board this spring. We are also pleased to announce that Kristin Wing, Iowa '80, has joined as a member of our house corporation board. She has always been very active in Greek life and has been a chapter advisor for DGs at Drake and KU, as well as served on the SAE national task force. She recently created a website called Greek Gab, which is a helpful site for parents, college students, advisors, and others who are looking for resources to help create a better fraternity or sorority experience. Kristin was also named Greater Kansas City's Delta Gamma 2015 Panhellenic Woman of the Year. She is a great addition with lots of innovative ideas that have been and will be a great asset to our board. JOIN US FOR A DG WEEKEND Got your PJs and want to have fun at the Beta Kappa Chapter house? Then we want to see you! As a new fundraising project, the house corporation is considering DG Weekends. DG Weekends is an invitation to all alumnae of the Beta Kappa Chapter to come stay at the house for a weekend over the summer. The idea is that for a fee (TBD), class years will be invited to stay for the weekend and have a fun reunion with their class, or maybe several classes together. Part of the registration fee will cover meals at the house and the remaining amount will be donated to the BK House Corporation Board. If you and your sisters are interested, please contact me at ac4382@ gmail.com. Once we have an idea of who all is interested, we can start setting up this summer's schedule. As always, please contact us if you are interested in serving on the house corporation board. Please feel free to attend any of our meetings! ITB, Anna Cohen Landis '02 President, House Corporation ac4382@gmail.com Do You Want to Host A Reunion at the Beta Kappa Chapter House? Leave Your Mark at Beta Kappa T he house corporation is still working to improve the gravel walkways surrounding our grand Delta Gamma home. The new concrete walkways will incorporate commemorative bricks honoring Beta Kappa's 65 years of history. Purchasing engraved bricks is a wonderful way to honor Delta Gamma moms, daughters, sisters, new member classes, or others who have supported Beta Kappa throughout its history. To order your commemorative brick, please contact: Phoenix Trees '09 / phoenixtrees@comcast.com 11160 W. 146th Terrace Olathe, KS 66062
