She was initially posted to the Bavarian Dentac in Bamberg Germany, where she served to ensure the dental readiness of a substantial component of the elite 173rd Airborne Regiment. In 2009, she volunteered to deploy to Iraq for a six month tour. At the end of her six months tour, she requested to remain on station and completed another six months. The Fort Bragg Dentac was her last duty assignment where she spent the next three years in several busy clinics, to in- clude the Womack Dental Clinic, which supports the hospital staff and patients admitted through the Emergency Department, along with the Warrior Transition Unit. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, hiking, listening to music and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Lapin is a second generation dentist, following in the footsteps of her father, who held his own practice for over 25 years in California, where her mother also worked as his assis- tant and office manager. Growing up around the family dental practice, she developed a paradigm where the patients are well known and treated like friends and family. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at California State University Northridge before obtain- ing a DMD in 2007 at Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine. She subsequently completed a General Practice Residency in Cleveland, at Louis Stokes VA Medical Center.
