We started off with a Spaghetti Dinner prepared by the eighth graders with proceeds of almost $400 going to fund their end-of-the-year trip. Not know- ing how many hungry people would attend, they only prepared 100 tickets. They sold out early but plenty of food was prepared so no one went home hungry. Next came the 6th Annual Rockin' in Quartzsite Rock Auc- tion presented by Proud Neighbors of Quartzsite. Artists, both students and members of our com- munity participated. Students have par- ticipated in the Rock Auction for the past 5 years. These students were to be team play- Starting April 1, 2015 Quartzsite Transit will begin its summer sched- ule. The only change is a reduction in trips to Lake Havasu City, which they will only be going once a month on the second Wednesday. The Town will also have an updated riders guide available to all riders when they update their registration forms. (Please let the drivers know you would like to update your forms and receive an updated riders guide.) Riders guides will be available on the transit vehicles and at Town Hall. April's transit calendar is also available on the transit vehicles, the Town's website: ci.quartzsite.az.us, and at Town Hall. For more informa- tion, call Town Hall at 928-927-4333 or stop by 465 N. Plymouth Ave., Quartzsite. Transit news ers, responsible, and the best part of it all they were to open savings accounts with their proceeds. The proceeds may not be a lot, but the idea is to teach them in Elementary School the impor- tance of saving and planning for their futures. To end the event, our students performed in a talent show that ended with great applause. We had a wonder- ful time and we are defi nitely planning on making this an annual event so plan on attending the next one if you missed out on this one. Our wonderful Auctioneer Richard McBride
