publisher's note A Year of Growth W ell, 2011 is about to come to a close. Let me review the changes that have taken place at CityView this year. We have added two new account executives, Suzanne Dudley and Michelle Schumacher, to the longtime sales staff of George Matthews, Robin Wiggs, Julie Donahue and Sara Livingston. Without all of their excellent efforts you would not have a magazine to read. Advertising is the key to our success and, in turn, we provide businesses with a classy prod- uct that shows results in which to promote themselves. We have a new general manager in AnneMarie Ziegler. She brings many years of experience to a much-needed position in our company. It is her or- ganizational skills that keep us straight. Our new Art Director Annette Winter brings over 15 years experience in this field. She is behind all the beauty in the magazine, bringing together the visual elements and the flow of the pages that make it an enjoyable read. The quality of her work speaks for itself and our last several issues have never looked better. Thanks also to our two editors Rebekah Sanderlin and Kelly Twedell. They seek out interesting stories to cover and work with our talented bunch of writ- ers and photographers to fill our pages. Without them you would not get to the heart of the many stories behind the people and businesses in our city. CityView has been blessed this year with a staff that has a passion for their product. When people have passion they do great things. Even though several magazines in the South have either gone out of business or cut way back on their product and staff, we have been blessed to keep growing in size. Our audit shows how popular the magazine is in Fayetteville, Hope Mills, Spring Lake and Fort Bragg. We have over 130 locations (shown on page 64) and with each issue all the magazines we print are distributed and snapped up before the next issue arrives. This issue features our 7th Food and Wine Guide and it looks to be our best. We have some great stories, like the one about two Fayetteville profes- sionals who became fast friends over the love of their hobby — building clas- sic furniture. One of our long time advertisers and family friend, Todd Sullivan of Sul- livan's Highland Funeral Service and Crematory, went to be with the Lord in November. We will miss him and our prayers are with his wife, parents and sisters. Thank you again for your support and keep those e-mails coming. God Bless and have a wonderful Christmas and a great new year in 2012. How fast it goes. 10 | Food & Wine • 2011
