REDBLUFFCHAMBER LendahandattheCrawdadFestival Posters have been submit- ted by high school students and voted on by the commit- tee for the 19th Annual May Madness Car Show. For the past few years the chamber has challenged the art students in the CTE Ad- vanced Media Design class at the high school to design a poster for chamber events. The committee chooses first, second and third place winners and the first place winner's design will be on the poster and other items for the car show. We are happy to an- nounce the winners of this year's contest. Third place winner is Anthony Cuevas, second place is Ethan Mu- noz and first place is Zach Coffey. The winners will re- ceive a total of $225 in Corn- ing Cash. Thanks to Chris- tine Lee, the instructor of the CTE Advance Media De- sign class, for her coopera- tion with the chamber and submitting such fine work. Corning Cash Speaking of Corning Cash, we would like to re- mind you that the cham- ber would like to see this project grow because it is all about keeping dollars in Corning. It costs the mer- chants nothing to partici- pate. Corning Cash is just like U.S. currency and those who participate receive the cash, give change to the cus- tomer and the chamber will redeem the total cash value. The bills come in denomi- nations of $20, $10 and $5. There are more than 40 merchants and businesses who are participating. A brochure lists the partici- pants and they also have a sticker stating that they are a Corning Cash participant. When Corning Cash is sold at the chamber a bro- chure is given with all the participants on it so people know where they can spend the money. There are res- taurants and several pizza places, two supermarkets, gas stations and even the high school's Cardinal Nest student store and Maywood Middle School student store that take Corning Cash. You may purchase cash to give as gifts and know that the money will benefit Corning merchants. Thank you for remembering to support this project. If you are a member of the Corn- ing Chamber of Commerce and would like to partici- pate or learn more call us at 824-5550, or email info@ corningcachamber.org.
